A webhook is PartnerPage calling a URL of yours the moment something happens, so your CRM, Slack channel or automation tool hears about it within seconds and nobody copies data by hand.
PartnerPage has two kinds of webhook. Which one you use depends on who you are.
Which webhook do you need?
| Directory webhooks | Partner lead webhook |
Who sets it up | The company that runs the directory | A partner listed in one or more directories |
Where | Your directory, then Webhooks, then Events | Settings, then Developers, then Lead webhook |
What you receive | Eight events: new and updated leads, matchmaking requests, partner applications, Get Listed completions, and profiles submitted for review | One event: a new lead on any of your profiles |
How many URLs | One per event, per directory | One per organization |
Availability | Switched on for your directory by PartnerPage | Every partner organization; a directory owner can switch it off for their directory |
Signing secret | One per directory | One per organization |
Both kinds send the same kind of request with the same headers, so a receiver built for one works for the other.
How a delivery works
Something happens, for example a visitor submits the contact form on a partner profile.
Within seconds PartnerPage sends an HTTPS
POSTwith a JSON body to your URL.The request is signed with your secret, so you can check it really came from PartnerPage.
Your endpoint replies with a
2xxstatus within 15 seconds. The delivery, its payload and your reply are recorded in the dashboard, where you can review them.
In PartnerPage a lead is the same thing as a contact request. The dashboard says "lead"; event names and payloads say contact_request.
Where to go next
You run a directory: read Set up webhooks for your directory.
You are a partner: read Send new leads to your own tools with a webhook.
You are building the receiving end: read Verify and handle webhook deliveries in the API docs.
No developer? Zapier, Make and n8n can all receive a webhook and pass the data on to your CRM without code. Both guides show how.
