Let partners add an embedded widget to their profile

Partners can show a player, catalog or other widget from another site in an Embed section on their profile.

What the Embed section is

The Embed section lets a partner show a widget from another site on their profile, such as a music player, a product catalog or a booking calendar. The partner pastes the embed code their provider gives them. The widget then appears in its own section on their profile.

Turn it on

The Embed section is off by default. To turn it on for your directory, contact the PartnerPage team through the chat in your dashboard.

Once it's on:

  • Partners see an Embed card when they edit their profile.

  • Your team sees the same card when you open a partner from Partners.

What appears on the profile

  • Only iframe embeds work. When the profile is saved, PartnerPage keeps the first iframe in the code and removes everything else, including scripts and styles.

  • The widget's address must start with https.

  • Each embed has a section title of up to 60 characters.

  • Each embed has a height between 200 and 1,200 pixels. If the height is left empty, PartnerPage uses the height in the embed code, or 480 pixels if the code has none.

  • The line "Embedded content from" followed by the site's address appears under the widget, so visitors know the content comes from another site.

  • The widget runs in a restricted frame. It can play media, go full screen, open new windows and submit its own forms, but it can't change or redirect your directory page.

Edit or remove a partner's embed

  1. Go to Partners and open the partner.

  2. Find the Embed card.

  3. Change the embed code, section title or height. To remove the section, clear the embed code.

  4. Save.

Choose where the section appears

By default, the Embed section appears after Media in the main column of the profile. To move it, go to Customizations > Branding and layout, choose Partner profile, and reorder the Main column sections.

If you review partner changes

If your directory reviews partner profile changes before they go live, embed changes appear in Review changes with the partner's other About changes. They go live when you approve them.

Manage the embed yourself

If you'd rather control the embed for your partners, ask us to lock it. Partners then see "Managed by directory owner" on the card and can't change it. Your team can still edit it.
