PartnerPage Directories and Profiles rank on Google and will appear in the search results
The directory itself as well as the profiles with all content (bio, services, images, location, budget, skill, etc.) are indexed and will appear when searched in Google
For this reason, some customers see the directory as an SEO play. In our experience, however, more traffic goes to the directory from the main site (linked on client website in header/footer) versus a search in Google for "Klaviyo expert email optimization etc" resulting in traffic to the directory.
The directory and profiles are built with SEO in mind and include functionality and best practices that have a beneficial impact on search results and rankings. Some of this functionality includes:
SITEMAP: We ensure that the directory and the profiles are properly linked and also have a sitemap to assist web crawlers.
CANONICAL URL: To prevent duplication content issues and incorrect links showing in search results, we use the canonical link to point search engines at the correct link
META DESCRIPTIONS: We allow directories and profiles to have user-specified meta descriptions. Profiles have the ability to enter "About" descriptions, the "Headline" descriptions and a meta description.
About/headline/meta description - 3 different ways that Google can index a profile (each profile)
Directory URL being brandable is good for SEO
Customers may also choose to set up using CDN vs subdomain because subdomain indexes would be considered "net new". CDN setup allows all traffic, including directory traffic, to be indexable under the main domain (more traffic = better rankings)
SITEMAPS
We generate a basic Sitemap for each directory automatically:
- A sitemap - a blueprint of the site so that search engines can find, crawl and index site content)
- Separate Agency and Integrations Directory and on a custom domain
- Example - connect.klaviyo.com/sitemap.xml and https://connect.klaviyo.com/integrations/sitemap.xml
Canonical URL: for similar URLs with the same destination. The older URL will index and rank higher. We tell Google which is the canonical link so it ranks/indexes the URL, as the "master copy" - this ensures traffic isn't split to the wrong site (for example, klaviyo.partnerpage.io vs connect.klaviyo.com
