Brand your directory

Set your directory's brand color, logo and favicon in Customizations > Branding and layout, and preview each page before you save.

Written by Ali Winberry

You set your directory's brand color, logo and favicon in Customizations > Branding and layout, where a live preview shows each public page as you change it. This article is for vendors who run a directory.

Who can do this: Admin role (Managers can open the editor but can't save changes) · Availability: all directories. The Theme tab is on the Growth and Enterprise plans.

Open the Branding and layout editor

The Branding and layout editor shows a live preview of your public directory, with three tabs beside it: Branding, Theme and Layout. To open the editor:

  1. In your directory's sidebar, click Customizations, then Branding and layout.

  2. Pick the page to preview from the list at the top, for example Directory or Partner profile.

  3. Use the desktop and mobile buttons to check both sizes. The full-screen button gives you more room; press Esc to leave full screen.

The page list shows Landing page, Directory, Partner profile, Contact form, Deal registration form, Review form, Matchmaking form, Matchmaking success, Partner application form and Partner application success, each only when its feature is on for your directory. The partner profile and its forms preview your first Public partner, so they appear once at least one partner is Public.

Changes show in the preview straight away but aren't live until you click Save in the Unsaved changes bar at the top. You see "Saved successfully". Discard undoes everything since your last save.

Set your brand color

The Brand color in the Branding tab colors your directory's main buttons, brand-colored text and icons. PartnerPage works out the hover and pressed shades for you, and picks black or white button text so it stays readable. To set the brand color:

  1. In Customizations > Branding and layout, open the Branding tab.

  2. Under Colors, enter a hex code in Brand color, such as #1F6FEB, or pick a color.

  3. Click Save.

If you changed individual colors in the Theme tab, a warning icon appears next to Brand color: a new brand color replaces those individual color changes.

Upload your logo and favicon

The Logos section of the Branding tab holds the images that identify your directory:

Image

Where it shows

Files

Logo (required)

The default navigation bar and footer, and the top of forms such as Get Listed and the partner application

JPG, PNG, SVG or GIF, up to 2 MB. Best: a transparent PNG no larger than 280 px wide or 140 px tall.

Favicon

The small icon in the visitor's browser tab

JPG, PNG, GIF or ICO, up to 2 MB. Best: a transparent PNG no larger than 512 × 512 px.

Internal Logo and Internal Favicon

Your internal directory, when you have one (available on request)

Same as above

To change the logo or favicon:

  1. In the Branding tab, under Logos, drop a file on Logo or Favicon, or click it to choose a file. Use Replace or Remove on an image that's already there.

  2. Click Save.

By default, clicking the logo in the navigation bar opens your directory's home page. To send visitors to your own website instead, set Logo URL in the Layout tab under Navigation bar. See Change page layouts and sections.

Fine-tune colors and fonts in the Theme tab

The Theme tab gives you detailed control over your directory's look on the Growth and Enterprise plans:

  • Colors sets individual colors for backgrounds, primary, secondary and tertiary elements, text, borders, icons and inputs.

  • Typography sets your font: pick one from Google Fonts, use a system font, or link your own font files (.woff2, .woff, .ttf or .otf). Import font from CSS reads the font details from a CSS snippet, and advanced mode lets you add fallback fonts.

Each part has Reset to defaults. If you don't see the Theme tab, your directory's plan doesn't include it. You can check the plan in the Plan column of All directories. See Change or cancel your plan.

Troubleshooting

The preview says "Preview blocked by custom domain"

The "Preview blocked by custom domain" message means the reverse proxy in front of your custom domain sends a Content Security Policy or X-Frame-Options header that stops the preview from loading. Remove that header from the proxy to bring the preview back. Your changes still save while the preview is blocked.

I don't see Partner profile in the page list

The Partner profile page and its forms appear in the preview list only when at least one partner is Public. Set a partner's Status to Public, then reopen Branding and layout.

My changes don't save

Saving branding changes needs the Admin role. Managers can open the editor but can't save. Ask an Admin to change your role in Settings > Team.
