A contact request's project status shows how far the partner got after accepting the request, from New to Secured, Launched / Deployed or Lost. Partners update the project status in their dashboard, and your team can change it on the request's page in Contact requests. This article is for vendors who run a directory.

Who can do this: Admin and Manager roles · Availability: available on request: contact PartnerPage support to turn on project statuses (they work on top of contact requests)

What each project status means

The product defines the labels only. The following table gives the meaning PartnerPage recommends, so that you and your partners use them the same way.

Project status

Meaning

New

Not acted on yet. Set automatically when the partner accepts the request.

Contacted

The partner reached out to the customer.

Engaged

The partner and the customer are in active conversation.

On hold

Paused by either side.

Secured

The customer agreed to work with the partner.

Launched / Deployed

The work or integration is live.

Lost

It didn't go ahead. A reason is required.

Any project status can change to any other, so a request can go back from On hold to Engaged, or from Lost to Contacted.

When someone picks Lost, PartnerPage asks for a reason: Customer went unresponsive, Lost to another provider, Budget or timing, Not a fit after discovery, Customer handled it in-house, or Other with a description of up to 500 characters.

Who sets the project status

  • Accepting a request sets its project status to New. Requests awaiting the partner or declined have no project status.

  • The partner updates it as the work moves on. See Respond to contact requests.

  • Your team can change it too, for example after a call with the partner.

Every change appears on the request's timeline with the person's name, for example "Dana Lee marked project status as Secured", and the reason for Lost. PartnerPage doesn't send an email when the project status changes, to you or to the partner.

Change the project status yourself

  1. In Contact requests, open an accepted request.

  2. In the Project status card, pick a status.

  3. Click Save. To undo your choice before saving, click Discard.

If you pick Lost, the Mark project as lost dialog opens instead: choose a reason and click Confirm. The change is saved right away.

The Project status card is locked while the request awaits the partner, and on declined and closed requests.

See project status across all requests

  • Contact requests list: the Project status column, and the Project status filter, which includes Not set for requests without one.

  • Reporting: the Contact requests by project status chart counts the requests submitted in the chosen period by their current project status. The Project status filter at the top of Reporting limits the contact request counts on the page to the statuses you pick; matchmaking requests aren't affected. Click a bar or a number to open the matching requests. See Reporting and analytics.

  • Export: the CSV file from Contact requests has a project_status column.

Ask the partner for an update

On an accepted request, the Partner card offers Ask for an update until the project status is Launched / Deployed or Lost. The partner's contacts get an email, and you can send one every 24 hours. See Reassign, close or duplicate a contact request.
