Callouts are short colored labels, such as "Free consultation" or "24/7 support", that show on a partner's listing card and at the top of their profile page. You create your directory's callouts in Callouts, then your team or the partner adds them to profiles. This article is for vendors.
Who can do this: Admin role creates and edits callouts (Managers and Members can view the list); Admin and Manager roles add callouts to profiles · Availability: available on request: contact PartnerPage support to turn it on
How callouts work
Your directory has one list of callouts, managed in Callouts. Callouts follow these rules:
Where they show. A partner's listing card on the directory page shows its first 2 callouts. The top of the partner's profile page shows all of them, under the partner's name.
How many. A directory can have up to 50 callouts. A partner profile can show up to 6, and an app listing up to 2.
Who adds them. Your team adds callouts on the partner's page in Partners, and partners can pick them from your list in their own profile.
One change, every profile. When you rename a callout or change its colors, every profile that has it shows the change.
Create a callout
To create a callout:
In your directory's sidebar, click Callouts.
Click Create callout.
In Callout name, enter the text visitors see, up to 35 characters.
Optionally, set a Text color and a Background color as hex codes, such as #3F4B66. Leave them empty to use your directory's default label colors.
Check the Preview card.
Click Save.
The callout's page opens with "Added" and the callout's name.
Add a callout to a partner's profile
To add a callout to a partner's profile:
In Partners, click the partner.
In the Callouts card, click Add callout.
In Callouts, choose the callout.
Click Save.
You see "Callout added". Drag callouts in the card to change their order: the first 2 are the ones on the listing card. To take a callout off the profile, click its remove icon and confirm; this removes it from that profile only. If you see "No selectable callouts", every callout in your list is already on the profile, or your list is empty.
For an app, use the Callouts card on the app's page in Apps, which holds up to 2.
Let partners pick callouts
Partners can add callouts from your list in the Callouts card of their profile, up to 6, the same way your team does. To keep callouts for your team to award, lock the Callouts field so partners see it as "Managed by directory owner". Locked fields are available on request: see Lock profile fields so partners can't edit them. If profile approval is on for your directory, a partner's callout changes wait for your approval like their other changes.
Change or delete a callout
To change a callout's name or colors, open it in Callouts, make the change and click Save. You see "Callout saved".
To delete a callout, open it, click Delete callout and confirm. The callout disappears from every profile that had it. Deleting a callout can't be undone.
Common questions
Why do only two callouts show on a partner's card?
A listing card has room for 2 callouts, so it shows the first 2 in the order of the partner's Callouts card. The profile page shows all of them. Drag the callouts in the card to choose which 2 appear on the listing card.
Can I see which partners have a callout?
The Callouts page lists your callouts but not the partners that have them. Open a partner in Partners to see its callouts.
What's the difference between callouts, badges and verifications?
Callouts are text labels on listing cards and at the top of profile pages. Badges are images in the sidebar of profile pages only. Verifications mark a partner as verified, with a "Verified Partner" section on the profile and, if you choose, an icon on listing cards. See Create and assign badges and Show certifications and verifications.
