Why is my profile hidden?

Your partner profile or listing isn't showing in the directory? What Hidden, Inactive, Searchable and Public mean, and what to do.

This article is for partners whose profile (listing) isn't showing in a vendor's partner directory. Only the directory owner, the company that runs the directory, can change a profile's status.

Who can do this: anyone on your team who can open the profile · Availability: all directories

Check your profile's status

Your profile's status shows in the Status column of Your public profiles and as a badge next to your company name on your Profile. If you are listed in several directories, each profile has its own status.

The following table lists what each status means for visitors.

Status

What visitors see

Public

Your profile is listed in the directory for everyone.

Searchable

Your profile appears only when a visitor searches or uses a filter. Its page still opens from a direct link.

Hidden

Your profile isn't listed and its page doesn't open.

Inactive

Your profile is switched off: it isn't listed and its page doesn't open.

To see a Hidden or Inactive profile the way it will look, click View public profile in the sidebar. It opens a preview, which isn't listed in the directory but opens for anyone with its link.

Your profile is waiting to be published

A profile created through Get Listed or a partner application starts Hidden and stays hidden until the directory owner publishes it.

  1. Complete your profile and click Save.

  2. If Submit for review appears at the top of your profile, click it, then click Submit for review again to confirm.

Your profile then shows Ready for review and stays hidden until the directory owner publishes it. You can keep editing. If there is no Submit for review button, tell the directory owner your profile is ready. PartnerPage doesn't email you when your profile is published, so check its status in Your public profiles.

Your changes are waiting for approval

In directories that review every change, your edits stay in a draft and visitors see the last approved version until the directory owner approves them. Approval doesn't change your status, so a Hidden profile stays hidden until the directory owner publishes it. See Submit your profile for review.

The directory owner set your profile to Hidden or Inactive

A directory owner can hide or switch off a profile at any time, for example after a partnership ends. You can't change the status yourself: ask the directory owner to set it to Public. The Partner column in Your public profiles shows which company runs the directory.

Your profile is Searchable

A Searchable profile appears only when a visitor searches or uses a filter that matches it. To check, search the directory for your company name. To be listed for everyone, ask the directory owner to set your profile to Public.
