Submit for review tells the directory owner (the company that runs the directory) that your profile is ready to look at. The button is at the top of your profile, in Your public profiles > the directory > Profile. This article is for partners. The button does one of two things, depending on the directory.

Who can do this: Admin, Manager and Profile Manager roles · Availability: the first case applies to profiles created through Get Listed; the second only in directories that review profile changes

Tell the directory owner your Get Listed profile is ready

A profile you created through Get Listed starts Hidden. When you have finished it, let the directory owner know once:

  1. Complete your profile and click Save. Submit for review stays greyed out while you have unsaved changes.

  2. Click Submit for review at the top of your profile.

  3. In the Submit for review? dialog, click Submit for review.

You see "Profile submitted for review", and your profile shows Ready for review. It stays hidden until the directory owner publishes it, and you can keep editing. The directory owner is notified and sees your profile under Ready for review in their partner list. You submit only once: the button disappears afterward.

The button appears only on Get Listed profiles that the directory owner hasn't published or given a status yet. If you don't see it, see Why is my profile hidden?.

Send your changes for approval

In directories that review profile changes, your edits don't go live when you save. They stay in a draft, and visitors see the last approved version.

  1. Make your changes and click Save.

  2. Click Submit for review at the top of your profile.

  3. In the dialog, click Submit for review.

You see "Entry submitted for review", and the directory owner's team is notified. Until they finish their review, your profile says it is pending review and can't be edited.

  • Approved: your changes go live, and your team gets an email. Your profile's status doesn't change, so a Hidden profile stays hidden until the directory owner publishes it.

  • Rejected: your profile shows Your changes were rejected with comments, with the directory owner's comments. Make the changes, click Save, then click Submit for review again.

Submit for review and Discard draft stay greyed out until you have saved at least one change, and while you have unsaved changes.

Discard a draft

To throw away the changes in your draft, click Discard draft at the top of your profile, then Discard draft in the dialog. You see "All drafted changes have been reverted", and your profile goes back to the live version. This can't be undone, and you can only discard a draft you haven't submitted yet.
