Deal registrations in your directory's sidebar collects the deals partners register with you: a prospect the partner is working with, which you approve or decline. A deal registration goes from a partner to you, the opposite way of a contact request. This article is for vendors who run a directory.

Who can do this: Admin and Manager roles approve and decline; the Member role can view · Availability: available on request: contact PartnerPage support to turn on deal registrations

How partners register a deal

Partners register a deal in two ways:

  • In their dashboard: in the partner's workspace for your directory, Deal registration > Register a deal.

  • With a deal registration link: a page, "Register a deal with" the partner's name, that anyone with the link can fill in without logging in, for example a partner's sales team. The page isn't linked from the partner's profile, and it opens only while the profile is Public or Searchable and the partner has claimed it.

Both ask for the prospect's name, email, job title, company and comments, plus any questions you add to the deal registration form in Customizations > Forms (custom forms are available on request).

Find a deal registration

The Deal registrations list has the views All, Submitted, Approved and Declined. Search by partner, prospect or company, or filter by Status. Each row shows the partner, the prospect's name and email, the company, the date submitted and the status.

Approve or decline a deal registration

  1. In Deal registrations, open a Submitted registration.

  2. Check the Prospect details, the Additional answers and the Partner.

  3. Click Approve and confirm with Approve, or click Decline.

  4. If you decline, add a Reason of up to 500 characters if you want to, then click Decline.

The registration moves to Approved or Declined, and a Decision card shows who decided, when, and the decline reason. The partner sees the decision and the reason on the registration in their dashboard.

A decision is final: once a deal registration is approved or declined, Approve and Decline are greyed out and the decision can't be changed.

Who gets an email about a deal registration

  • When a partner registers a deal: your team members who can view deal registrations get an email, and so does everyone in the partner's organization. The settings in Notifications don't switch this email off.

  • When you approve or decline: everyone in the partner's organization gets an email with the decision, including your decline reason if you gave one.

  • The prospect gets no email from PartnerPage.

A deal registration link only works for a partner who has claimed their profile, so every registration reaches a partner who can act on it.

Copy a partner's deal registration link

  1. In Partners, open the partner.

  2. At the top of the partner's page, click Deal registration. The button shows only for partners who have claimed their profile.

PartnerPage copies the link and shows "Link copied". Partners copy the same link from the Deal registration button on their Register a deal page.

What you can't do

  • Change a decision. Ask the partner to register the deal again if the situation changes.

  • Register a deal for a partner from your dashboard. Use the partner's deal registration link instead.

  • Export deal registrations. The Deal registrations list has no export.

  • Keep deal registrations after deleting a partner. Deleting a partner removes its deal registrations. Set the partner to Inactive instead to keep them. See Remove a partner from your directory.
