Certifications and verifications are two lists of credentials that you create for your directory and add to partner profiles. A certification shows on the partner's profile page with a number, such as how many certified people the partner has. A verification marks the partner as verified, on the profile page and, if you choose, with a verified icon on the partner's listing card. This article is for vendors.

Certifications and verifications compared

Create a certification
To create a certification:
In your directory's sidebar, click Certifications.
Click Create certification.
In Certification name, enter the name, up to 35 characters.
Click Save.
The certification's page opens with "Added" and its name.
Create a verification
To create a verification:
In your directory's sidebar, click Verifications.
Click Create verification.
In Verification name, enter the name, up to 35 characters.
In Display icon on cards?, choose Yes to show the verified icon on the listing cards of partners with this verification, or No to show it on their profile page only.
Click Save.
The Verifications list shows each verification's choice in the Displayed on cards column.
Add them to a partner's profile
To add a certification or verification to a partner's profile:
In Partners, click the partner.
In the Certifications card, click Add certification, choose it in Certifications, and enter a Quantity from 1 to 99. Or, in the Verifications card, click Add verification and choose it in Verifications.
Click Save.
You see "Certification added" or "Verification added". To change a certification's quantity, click Edit next to it. Drag items in either card to change their order on the profile page. If you see "No selectable certifications" or "No selectable verifications", every item in your list is already on the profile, or your list is empty.
Let partners pick them
Partners can add certifications and verifications from your lists in their own profile, the same way your team does. To keep either list for your team to award, lock the Certifications or Verifications field so partners see it as "Managed by directory owner". Locked fields are available on request: see Lock profile fields so partners can't edit them. If profile approval is on for your directory, a partner's changes wait for your approval like their other changes.
Change or delete a certification or verification
To change a name, or a verification's Display icon on cards? choice, open it in Certifications or Verifications, make the change and click Save. The change shows on every profile that has it.
To delete one, open it, click Delete certification or Delete verification and confirm. It disappears from every profile that had it. Deleting can't be undone.
Certifications in the internal directory
If your directory has an internal directory, available on request, each partner's page in Partners also has Industry certifications (up to 15) and Segment certifications (up to 10) cards under Internal fields. You pick them from the same Certifications list, each with a quantity. Only your team sees them, as "activations by industry" and "activations by segment" in the internal directory. Common questions
Why doesn't the verified icon show on a partner's card?
A partner's card shows the verified icon only when the partner has at least one verification whose Display icon on cards? is Yes. Open the verification in Verifications and check that setting, then check the partner's Verifications card in Partners.
Do certifications show on listing cards?
No. Certifications show on the partner's profile page only. To label partners on the listing cards, use callouts or verifications: see Highlight partners with callouts.
What does the number next to a certification mean?
The number in the small circle before a certification's name is the Quantity set on the profile, for example how many certified people the partner has. The section heading adds up the quantities of all the partner's certifications.
