Moderate partner reviews

Accept or decline reviews on partner profiles, auto-approve, remove a partner's reply, export reviews and show reviewer details.

Written by Ali Winberry

Reviews in your directory's menu lists the reviews visitors write about your partners. A review stays off the partner's profile until you accept it, unless your directory approves reviews automatically. This article is for vendors who run a directory.

Who can do this: Admin and Manager roles see reviews; Admins accept, decline and remove partner replies · Availability: available on request: contact PartnerPage support to turn on reviews

How visitors leave a review

Visitors click Write a review on a partner's profile and fill in the form: Rating, Review title (up to 80 characters), Review summary (up to 500 characters), First name, Last name, Email and Company name. All fields are required, and the form checks reCAPTCHA. Reviews can only be left on profiles visitors can open (Public or Searchable).

After a visitor submits a review, everyone on your team with New partner reviews switched on in Notifications gets an email. The reviewer gets no email, and neither does the partner.

Find a review

In the sidebar, under your directory, click Reviews. The list has the views All, Pending, Approved and Declined, a Search by entry name box for the partner's name, and the filters Status, Date created and Rating.

Accept or decline a review

  1. In Reviews, open a review.

  2. Read the Review rating, Review title and Review summary, and check who wrote it under Submitted by and Company.

  3. Click Accept to publish the review on the partner's profile, or Decline to keep it off.

An accepted review shows the badge Accepted and appears in the Approved view. The review page records who accepted or declined it.

You can change your mind at any time: Decline an accepted review to take it off the profile, or Accept a declined one to publish it.

Approve reviews automatically

PartnerPage can publish every review the moment a visitor submits it, without waiting for you. Your team still gets the email for each review, and you can decline any review later to take it down. Automatic approval is available on request: contact PartnerPage support to turn it on.

What visitors see on the profile

The Reviews section of a partner's profile shows accepted reviews only, with the average rating and the number of reviews. Each review shows its rating, title, date and summary.

By default, the reviewer's name and company stay hidden. When full reviewer information is on, each review also shows the reviewer's first and last name and company. The reviewer's email address is never shown to visitors or partners. Full reviewer information is available on request: contact PartnerPage support.

Remove a partner's reply

Partners can reply publicly to accepted reviews; the reply shows under the review as "Response from" the partner's name. To remove a reply:

  1. In Reviews, open the review.

  2. On the Response from card, click x.

  3. Click Remove reply.

The review stays published, and the partner can reply again. See Reply to reviews.

Export reviews

In Reviews, click Export, choose all reviews or the ones matching your current search and filters, and click Download CSV.

What you can't do

  • Delete a review. Decline it instead: a declined review disappears from the profile and stays in your Declined view.

  • Edit what a reviewer wrote. Decline the review if it breaks your rules.

  • Let partners remove reviews. Partners can't accept, decline or delete reviews about them. A partner who thinks a review is spam can ask you to decline it.
