You add a partner's profile yourself from Partners > Add partner: fill in the company's details, choose whether the profile is visible, and save. In technology partner directories you can also pick companies from PartnerPage's catalogue. This article is for vendors who run a directory.
Who can do this: Admin and Manager roles · Availability: all directories. Fill with AI is available on request: contact PartnerPage support to turn it on.
Add a partner yourself
Adding a partner creates a profile that your team fills in; you can invite the partner's people to it afterwards. To add a partner:
In your directory's sidebar, click Partners.
Click Add partner. In a technology partner directory, this opens Add your existing technology partners: click Add manually.
In Your new partner, fill in Name, Headline (up to 250 characters), Description, Company website and Logo. These are required.
Optionally add a Square logo, and any extra fields your directory has, such as Company and partner description or the dark-background logos. If your directory shows Location, it's required too.
In Profile settings, choose the Status and the other settings (see "Choose the profile settings").
Click Save in the Unsaved changes bar.
You go to the partner's page, which shows "Added" with the partner's name and an Add another partner link. From there you can fill in the rest of the profile: see Edit a partner's profile.
The Logo can be a JPG, PNG, SVG, WEBP or GIF file up to 1 MB; the Square logo, up to 256 KB.
Choose the profile settings
The Profile settings card on Your new partner decides whether the profile shows in your directory and where. The following table lists the settings.
Setting | What it does | Shown when |
Status | Hidden (the default), Inactive, Public or Searchable. Leave a profile Hidden until it's ready. See Partner profile statuses: Public, Searchable, Hidden, Inactive. | Always |
Tier | The partner's tier. Your default tier is selected for you. | Tiers are on (available on request) |
Featured | Yes shows the partner in the Featured section of your directory once the profile is Public. See Feature partners on your directory. | Featured partners is on (available on request) |
Internal directory | Yes lists the partner in your internal directory. | You have an internal directory (available on request) |
Draft the headline and description with Fill with AI
Fill with AI writes a headline and description from the partner's website, which you review before using. To use Fill with AI:
In Your new partner (or on an existing partner's page), click Fill with AI at the bottom of the details card.
Enter the Partner website and click Next. PartnerPage reads the site while it shows "Generating headline and description...".
In Review details, edit the Headline and Description as needed.
Click Fill, then save the profile.
Fill with AI changes only the headline and description. Admins can give it standing instructions, such as tone or words to avoid, in Customizations > Configuration > AI fill profile prompt.
Add technology partners from the catalogue
In a technology partner directory, Add partner opens Add your existing technology partners: a list of software companies that already have a PartnerPage account. To add a partner from the catalogue:
In Partners, click Add partner.
Search for the company by name.
Click Add partner on the company's card.
PartnerPage creates a Hidden profile with the company's name, logo, website and description, and the headline "[company] is a [your company] certified partner", then opens the partner's page so you can check it. Because the profile is linked to the company's PartnerPage account, that company's team can also open and edit it from their own dashboard. Cards for companies already in your directory say "Partner added". If the company isn't listed, click Add manually.
Other ways to add partners
Besides adding profiles yourself, you can:
Invite partners. If your Partners page shows Invite partner instead of Add partner, invitations are on for your directory: you add a partner by sending an invitation, which creates the profile and invites its people in one step. See Invite partners to your directory.
Share your Get Listed link, so partners create their own Hidden profile. See Invite partners to your directory.
Import many partners at once through the API. See Import partners in bulk.
Accept partner applications, which creates a profile for each accepted applicant. See Managing Partner Applications.
Next step: give the partner access
A profile you add yourself has no one from the partner on it yet. To let people at the partner edit the profile and receive its contact requests, add them in Partner contacts on the partner's page. See Choose who at a partner can edit the profile and receive contact requests.
