You can change every part of a partner's profile from the partner's page in Partners: the company details and logos, each profile section, its status and tier, who at the partner can edit it, and your team's internal notes. This article is for vendors who run a directory.
Who can do this: Admin and Manager roles (Members can view) · Availability: all directories. Most profile sections are available on request.
Open a partner's page
Every partner profile has its own page in Partners. To open a partner's page:
In your directory's sidebar, click Partners.
Find the partner: search by name, or use the views (All, Public, Hidden, Ready for review, Searchable, Inactive; with profile approval on, Pending review replaces Ready for review) and filters.
Click the partner's name.
The top of the page shows the partner's name, its status and badges such as Ready for review, Featured or Unavailable, and when the profile was last updated and by whom. Two buttons sit next to the name:
View profile opens the live profile when its status is Public or Searchable. For other statuses, or when your directory's hosted pages are off, the button reads Preview profile and opens a preview. Anyone who has the preview link can open it.
Deal registration copies the partner's public deal registration link, when deal registrations are on.
Edit the profile details
The left column of a partner's page holds the profile's content, as cards: the About card (Name, Headline, Description, Company website, Logo, Square logo and any extra fields your directory has), then one card for each profile section that's on for your directory, such as Badges, Use cases, Media, Testimonials or Resources. For every section, its limits and who fills it in, see Profile sections and limits.
Changes save in one of two ways:
Fields in the About card, Call to action, External link and Support, and the settings in the right column (Profile settings, External ID, Availability, Filters, URL override), save together: click Save in the Unsaved changes bar at the top. You see "Partner profile saved".
List sections, such as Use cases, Media or Testimonials, save each item on its own when you click Save inside the item. Partner contacts changes also take effect straight away.
Fill with AI, available on request, drafts the headline and description from the partner's website: see Add a partner.
Change status, tier and other settings
The right column of a partner's page holds the settings only your team controls:
Profile settings: Status, Tier, Featured and Internal directory. See Partner profile statuses: Public, Searchable, Hidden, Inactive and Feature partners on your directory.
External ID (available on request): your own ID for the partner, up to 100 characters, with a copy button.
Partner contacts: the people at the partner who can edit the profile and receive its contact requests. See Choose who at a partner can edit the profile and receive contact requests.
Availability (available on request): Accepting new clients/leads.
Filters: you can set every filter, including filters partners can't change.
URL override (available on request): a Custom slug of up to 60 characters for the profile's address.
To stop partners from changing particular fields on every profile, see Lock profile fields so partners can't edit them.
Keep internal notes on a partner
The timeline at the bottom of the left column holds your team's notes about the partner, such as a call summary or a renewal date. Notes are internal: partners never see them. To add a note:
On the partner's page, scroll to the timeline.
Type in the box that says "Leave a comment...", up to 1,000 characters.
Click Post.
Only the person who wrote a note can edit or delete it, from the menu on the note.
When the partner is editing their profile
With the profile approval flow on, available on request, a partner's changes wait for your review. The partner's page then shows a banner: "This profile has pending changes for review" with Review changes, or "This entry is currently being updated by" the partner while they're still editing. While the partner is editing or a review is open, you can't edit the profile's content. See Approve partner profile changes.
Delete a partner
Delete partner at the bottom of the partner's page removes the profile from your directory, and it can't be undone in the dashboard. To hide a profile but keep everything, set its Status to Inactive instead. See Remove a partner from your directory.
