An internal directory is a private copy of your partner directory that only people at your company can open, after logging in. It lists the partners you choose, whatever their status, and adds internal fields your team fills in, such as an internal description and point-of-contact links. Partners and visitors never see it. This article is for vendors.
Who can do this: PartnerPage support turns it on and sets its address; Admin and Manager roles choose its partners and fill in internal fields; everyone at your company can open it · Availability: available on request: contact PartnerPage support to turn it on
How the internal directory works
The internal directory follows these rules:
Its own address. The internal directory is a separate site. PartnerPage support sets up its address when turning it on and gives it to you; there's no link to it in the dashboard.
Your team only. People log in with their PartnerPage login. Anyone in your company's PartnerPage organization can open it, whatever their role; people from other companies can't. To give a colleague access, invite them in Settings > Team: see Manage your team.
Partners you choose, whatever their status. It lists every partner whose Internal directory setting is Yes, including Hidden and Inactive ones. Apps aren't listed.
Same tools as the public directory. Your team can search, filter and sort, as visitors do on the public directory.
Your internal branding. It uses the Internal Logo and Internal Favicon from the Branding tab of Branding and layout. See Brand your directory.
Add partners to the internal directory
Partners start outside the internal directory. To add a partner:
In Partners, click the partner.
In Profile settings, set Internal directory to Yes.
Click Save in the Unsaved changes bar.
You can also set Internal directory when you add a partner: see Add a partner. To take a partner out, set it back to No.
Fill in internal fields
When the internal directory is on, each partner's page in Partners has an Internal fields section below the public profile cards. Only your team fills it in, and only the internal directory shows it.
Card | What it holds | Where it shows on the internal profile |
Internal About | Internal description, up to 10,000 characters | "Internal Description", in the main column |
Internal CTAs | Point of contact and Channel contact, each a label (up to 25 characters) and a URL | Buttons at the top of the profile; a button shows once its URL is set |
Internal media | Up to 9 items | "Internal Media" |
Internal logos | Up to 5 logos | "Logos" |
Internal use cases | Up to 6 | "Internal Use Cases" |
Internal testimonials | 1 | With the testimonials |
Internal resources | Up to 6 | "Internal Resources", in the sidebar |
Industry certifications and Segment certifications | Up to 15 and 10, picked from your Certifications list with a quantity | "Activations by industry" and "activations by segment", in the sidebar |
Internal media, use cases and testimonials show when the matching public section is on for your directory, and the certification cards when certifications are on. The internal profile also shows everything on the partner's public profile.
Show filters in the internal directory
When the internal directory is on, the Filter displays on setting of each filter in Filters offers four choices: Public directory, Internal directory, Public Entry profile and Internal Entry profile. Tick Internal directory to let your team filter by it, and Internal Entry profile to show a partner's options on their internal profile. A filter can be internal only. See Set up search filters.
Common questions
Can partners see the internal directory?
No. Only people in your company's PartnerPage organization can open the internal directory, and partners never see the internal fields in their own profile editor.
Why isn't a partner in the internal directory?
A partner appears in the internal directory only when its Internal directory setting is Yes. New partners start with No. The partner's status doesn't matter: Hidden and Inactive partners appear too.
Can I see how my team uses the internal directory?
Yes, if PartnerPage support has set up analytics for it: your directory's sidebar then shows Internal analytics. See Reporting and analytics.
